Class description

Transformational Leadership Development

This course focuses on three positive styles of leading others and the four components of each style. This course provides the opportunity to explore your thinking, feelings, and actions related to the different leadership capabilities.

Past participants have shared that understanding the role of these three styles of leading in fostering health and safety outcomes in the workplace has significantly contributed to increasing their effectiveness in leading positive change.

Participants and their invited colleagues will take a multi-rater survey to discover their strengths and opportunities for development into a more effective leader in operating in health and safety related functions and contexts.

This course serves as an elective course for individuals enrolling in the joint UW DEOHS CE/OHWC Total Worker Health Certificate Program. Individuals not seeking the TWH Certificate may enroll and attend the course as a standalone.
