This semester-long Leadership Academy is for occupational health and safety professionals seeking to improve their leadership skills in order to transform the safety culture in their organization. Academy curriculum is based on a model for leadership development generated from research by the Foster School of Business Center for Leadership and Strategic Thinking (CLST). It will include assessments of participants’ readiness and capability to lead as well as projects aimed at developing their leadership capabilities.

Upon completion of this semester-long program, graduates will complete a personal leadership development plan focused on participant strengths and areas for development. Participants will have an opportunity to engage in leadership and practice positive behaviors via an action learning project in the workplace, as well as the opportunity for practicing positive coaching behaviors.

The academy will be delivered remotely and will include a series of live, interactive video conference sessions, assessments, and an action learning project.
