This course is designed to provide a basic overview of the methods for identifying and controlling workplace hazards and to discuss the roles and responsibilities of staffing agencies and host employers with regard to the development of health and safety programs.

Describe the elements of an effective health and safety program that protects employees placed in secondary workplaces

Describe the roles of the host employer and the staffing agency in protecting temporary workers

Identify key common hazards in workplaces

Identify methods for addressing key hazards

Identify strategies for providing training about health and safety by host employers and staffing agencies and for maintaining communication with temporary employees.
Audience:
Staffing agency and host employer representatives who may be responsible for employee health and safety or for developing contracts that include language about health and safety responsibilities.
