Highly hazardous chemicals—such as ammonia, chlorine, petrochemicals, and hydrofluoric acid—are widely used in many general and construction industries. To ensure safe and healthful workplaces, OSHA has issued the Process Safety Management (PSM) of Highly Hazardous Chemicals Standard, which covers the requirements for the management of hazards associated with processes using highly hazardous chemicals. This four-day course covers an introduction to the regulatory requirements for PSM, safe work practices, and risk management procedures that are necessary to prevent releases and exposures in the workplace and in the community. Participants will learn how to implement a comprehensive management program that integrates technologies, procedures, and management best practices.
