University of Washington is pleased to announce an upcoming community engagement lecture series for agricultural communities. The goal of this 4-part series is to share agricultural solutions on a variety of topics that will improve the health and safety of the workforce in the northwest region. The program brings together an expert line-up of research faculty and community partners who will cover sexual harassment prevention, dairy safety, heat education and awareness, and pesticide safety.  Each 90 minute session will include lessons learned, practical resources and ready-to use toolkits for assessing, evaluating, and preventing injuries and illnesses on the farm.

Intended Audience:

Community Health Workers, Extension Agents, and Agricultural Safety Specialists, Promotores de Salud, safety professionals, health educators, human resources professionals, public health professionals, and staff in community-based organizations.


In the event you cannot attend the course, there are a few options -- you can either cancel your registration, transfer your registration to another course, or transfer your registration to another person. If you choose to cancel, we must receive your cancellation in writing with at least 1 week notice, and a refund will be issued minus a $25 cancellation fee. If you do not cancel and are a no-show for the course, your tuition fee is forfeited. If you choose to transfer your registration, please state the course you are transferring out of, and the course you are transferring into. Transferring to another course is permitted only twice per course registration. If you are unable to attend the course after the second transfer, the above cancellation policy applies.
