Class description
The 2019 International Dairy Research Consortium (IDRC) will focus on Total Worker Health including discussion on the impacts of automation and mechanization. HICAHS organized the IDRC to collaborate with national and international researchers in dairy safety and health, seeking to share successful injury and illness prevention strategies, tested dissemination channels, and novel approaches. The consortium’s objective is to collaborate on research and outreach projects and identify priorities that will ultimately result in the reduction of injuries and illnesses among dairy workers internationally. The consortium has already received enthusiastic commitments from researchers in Sweden, Finland, Germany, Italy, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Denmark.
