Class description

This is the third course in the Industrial Hygiene Series, which is designed to provide fundamentals of traditional IH topics to practicing industrial hygienists who need a refresher or who are studying for the CIH exam.

This one-day course will cover the health effects of extreme heat and the variety of workplaces in which the hazard is present. Applicable standards and guidelines and the measurements and calculations used in determining exposure and compliance will be described and practiced. Case studies and best practices for workplace prevention programs will be discussed and emerging issues will be presented.
