Please join us to learn how you can transition to safer cleaning products and sanitizers in your food truck. Products used for cleaning, sanitizing, and disinfecting can be harmful to human health and the environment. The Clean SHiFT Project's goal is to help the food truck industry implement cleaning for health programs which protect employees, customers, and the environment by substituting safer alternatives for more toxic traditional cleaning ingredients, and using new cleaning practices and equipment. Clean SHiFT brings together a multidisciplinary team from the University of Washington, Heritage University, and Washington Food Truck Association to promote best cleaning practices and technical assistance.
Clean SHiFT's new toolkit consisting of educational materials, bumper stickers, a website, and multimedia videos was created for the food truck industry. This is especially important now as so many people are using cleaning chemicals and disinfectants to reduce the risks of COVID-19.
