
OSHA #500 Trainer Course in Occupational Safety and Health Standards for Construction

Students who successfully complete this course will be authorized to conduct the 10- and 30-hour voluntary compliance courses in construction safety and health outreach programs and will be able to:
- Find the correct OSHA standards in 29 CFR 1926.
- Identify common causes of accidents in hazardous areas of construction.
- Identify abatement techniques for hazards found in construction.
Prerequisites: Five years of construction safety experience and OSHA 510.

SCHEDULE:
8:00 am to 4:30 pm | MONDAY-THURSDAY
This is a trainer course so you will be assigned an OSHA Subpart to present your class of peers. Please bring any teaching or technical aids that will assist your training techniques, such as a laptop computer with PowerPoint capabilities.

From the Portland Airport:
Follow NE Airport Way south for 6.5 miles, this turns into NE 181st Avenue. Pass under I-84, and turn right at the next intersection onto NE San Rafael Street. Turn right onto NE 178th Avenue, and then turn left into the Sheet Metal Institute parking lot.
From Downtown Portland:
Follow I-84 east. Take Exit #13. Turn right onto NE 181st Avenue. Turn right at the next intersection onto NE San Rafael Street. Turn right onto NE 178th Avenue, and then turn left into the Sheet Metal Institute parking lot.
