This course covers the evaluation of scaffolds in construction including safe use and training. This course will apply to hazard recognition skills to assess scaffold safety according to OSHA standards. Course topics include scaffold types, personnel responsibilities, hazards, use, Standards (e.g., Scope, application and definitions, general requirements) and training. The target audience is employees, employers, managers, or employee representatives who are involved in working in or around scaffolding as part of their job requirements. Successful completion enables the students to apply the basic skills necessary on and around scaffolding equipment at a job site.
